<image:caption>For this painting I incorporated acrylics, oils and a touch of glitter glue. I find sandpipers fascinating to watch as they dart in and out of the waves in search of bugs and shellfish. I’ve discovered Sandpipers prefer being grounded over being “flighty” with a strong desire to focus on the task at hand. Due to moving so fast, they’re hard to see close up while at the beach, so my intent was to use my photos to capture them in a moment of time and paint them close up for all to enjoy. <image:caption>For over 30 years, I’ve enjoyed countless bike rides each summer to Mill Creek Park’s Lanterman’s Mill and back home, completing a 10-mile loop. This scene has always meant so much to me and I didn’t paint it until I worked in oils for a while, wanting to capture its spectacular beauty on canvas. Although etched in memory, I also referred to photos I shot just minutes after sunset when the lights on the Mill cast the colors of purple and pink onto the waterfall before fading into darkness. See my other painting in my Mill Creek Park Series - The Silver Bridge, Stairway to Heaven, Mystic Moonlit River on shop.bethbasistapaintings.com Built in 1845, this Mahoning County historical treasure operates today as it did in the 1800’s. Visitors can watch it grind corn or wheat, and enjoy browsing through its gift shop. For years I’d stop on the bridge overlooking the Mill to thank God for his many blessings and I’m also thankful for Volney Rogers who back in the late 1800’s used his legislative ability as an attorney to create the first park district in Ohio now called Mill Creek Metro Parks. <image:title>Collage of photos of paintings - Moose In Snow at Sunset - Watercolor 8x10</image:title>
<image:caption>I used vivid contrasting colors to create this dramatic snow scene using watercolors. I'm fascinated by moose, love to hear their call, and although I've never seen one, I look for them while hiking the mountains in Utah and Colorado. Although a chilly scene, I promise it will bring warmth and generate interesting conversation in your home or office.</image:caption>

<image:title>Collage of photos of paintings - Crashing Waves on Rocky Beach Oil Painting</image:title>
<image:caption>It's obvious this painting is a scene of waves crashing onto rocks. But there's more....This composition was designed to move your eye clockwise starting at the light blue sky at left, moving across the waves splashing up along the top of the rocks, down and around observing the part of the rock that's submerged under water. I enjoyed choosing colors to playfully add excitement, incorporating "soft-edged" strokes of color and splattering techniques.</image:caption>

<image:title>Collage of photos of paintings - Catamaran on Hilton Head Beach 16 x 20 Oil Painting</image:title>
<image:caption>I seem to gravitate toward vacationing on islands and discovering what makes them unique and special. I love Hilton Head Island for it’s 12 miles of pristine, sandy beaches that are made of crushed seashells densely packed to form a firm surface making it perfect for biking, walking and running. I highly recommend renting a condo in one of Hilton Head’s Plantations or a suite in one of the hotels along the beach with friends and family. Take in the sights of the blue Atlantic, gorgeous homes along the beach and search for a catamaran or two tucked into sand dunes at the top of the beach like I painted using oils on canvas. <image:caption>I like how I don’t have to paint white when using watercolors - all I have to do is avoid painting the paper where I want the white to be. To preserve the white in watercolor paintings, artists use masking fluid to block out specific areas. For this painting I didn’t block out the white area, but was careful to leave some white area indicating the highlights. I like to switch from painting in oils to painting in watercolors and can honestly say I don’t have a preference. I love how the paints flow with watercolors and love how the paints blend when using oils. To order prints or specialty products visit: BethBasista.pixels.com</image:caption>

<image:caption>When a child leaves home for college, it can be bittersweet. I admit I was one of those moms who took way too long to redecorate my son’s room. One day as I passed by his room, I noticed how beautifully the sun peeked through the blinds lighting up his teddy bear, pillow, rocket, books and toys. After taking a photo, I finally turned the room into a guest room. Collectors and Decorators like this painting for decorating a child’s bedroom or playroom. <image:title>Collage of photos of paintings - Island House Hotel Mackinac Island 18 x 24 Oil Painting</image:title>
<image:caption>While vacationing on Mackinac Island I stayed with friends at the Victorian style Island House Hotel, built in 1852. Using oils on canvas, I painted the right-hand side of the hotel viewed from the bottom of its driveway. The horse and buggy taxi is waiting to transport a bride to her wedding with a few of my friends watching from the front porch. Mackinac Island has a ban on motorized vehicles requiring its residents and guests to travel by foot, bike or horse and buggy. I enjoy riding my bike along its 8.3 mile perimeter and climbing up 320 feet to see the historic Fort Holmes. If I talked you into vacationing on the island I highly recommend watching the movie "Somewhere in Time” staring Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve” that was filmed on the island. <image:caption>Egrets can be very entertaining as this one was when I watched him land on the back deck of a fishing boat as it moved to the dock after a fishing trip. Then he hopped out onto the dock and waited for the bait box to be emptied out before diving in for an easy catch. <image:title>Collage of photos of paintings - Pelican Take Off into the Sunset 24 x 30 Mixed Media</image:title>
<image:caption>While kayaking through mangrove tunnels leading to Pelican Bay, I took a lot of photos to refer to including photos of this Pelican that took off just as I approached the post it was perched on. I replaced the background with an orange-dominated sunset for this 24" x 30" painting on canvas using acrylics and oils. Did you know…. When observing art in churches around the world, you may be surprised to find pelicans. In Asia and Europe many believed pelican mothers would be so devoted to their young that if starving, they would use their sharp beak to peck at their own breast to feed their blood to their young. Although this is not true, the pelican has been revered as a symbol of the loving sacrifice of Jesus Christ. To order prints or other specialty items go to: BethBasista.pixels.com</image:caption>

<image:title>Collage of photos of paintings - Jimmy's HideAway Provincetown, Cape Cod Acrylic Painting</image:title>
<image:caption>While vacationing with family in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, we included a day visiting the small coastal resort town of Provincetown. My family patiently waited as I walked into all the art galleries along Commercial Street. We took lots of photos of the many unique shops and restaurants like the very popular Jimmy’s Hideaway Restaurant. I hear their food is delicious, but since we didn’t have a reservation, I was happy to at least capture photos I referred to for this painting. I chose using acrylics for this painting, knowing it would make it easier than oils to capture the many details in this painting on canvas. <image:title>Collage of photos of paintings - Dolphins Ride the Waves 16x20 Mixed Media</image:title>
<image:caption>For this painting I blended my skills utilizing acrylic pour and oils on a 16” x 20” canvas. I kept my paint stokes loose and incorporated modeling paste to help the dolphins jump up out over the waves. It’s such a rewarding sight to see their playfulness and attentiveness to each other as they swim close to you. I’ve been told they enjoy watching people in captivity. <image:title>2020 Paintings - Eyes of the Tiger</image:title>
<image:caption>I painted this tiger using acrylics on a 9x12 canvas. It was quite challenging to keep my place as I moved from stripe to stripe. The tiger is one of the most beautiful and exotic animals in the world - the largest of all cats and did you they’re found in Southern Asia, Russia and China and not in Africa? Its roar can be heard at almost 2 miles away, it can run at speeds of 35mph and is a good swimmer. How could such a beautiful cat be so dangerous? Even when just a little annoyed, one slap with those claws has a good chance of killing you - think about that the next time you get slapped by a kitty! <image:title>2020 Paintings - Egret in the Shallows</image:title>
<image:caption>I created this 16x20 mixed media painting using acrylics to lay in the foundation and oils to add the final touches to the Egret. I liked how oils made it easier to push & blend colors into each other to achieve the softness I desired. I referenced photos I shot of this egret hanging around fisherman in inlet to Bunge Beach, Ft. Myers, Florida. <image:title>2020 Paintings - The Silver Bridge - Mill Creek Park</image:title>
<image:caption>When my sister insisted I paint the "Silver Bridge" for her in oils, I originally said no due to the time-consuming work required to capture its splendor. After suggesting other beautiful scenes in the park, I gave in. I treated it like a puzzle, laying in the bridge and the road that zig zags across the canvas before moving on to the colorful background. The years I worked as a technical illustrator for a furniture manufacturer helped a lot. Although it took more hours than I want to admit, the comments generated on my personal facebook page including requests for prints along with my sister's excitement made this painting extra special. The Silver Bridge is located on Valley Drive, in Youngstown, Ohio's Mill Creek Park. Back in 1895 the Park's founder, Volney Rogers had Charles Fowler of the Youngstown Bridge Company design the structure measuring 86 feet long x 32 feet wide. Although my family knows it as The Silver Bridge, it has also been called the Suspension Bridge, the Cinderella Bridge, the Castle Bridge, and the Walt Disney Bridge. Its lacy arches and soaring spires have provided romantic scenery for photographers and artists. Special thanks to the Mahoning Valley Historical Society, Youngstown State University, the Ohio Historic Preservation office and others who coordinate a restoration project in 2007 bringing it to its original splendor. <image:title>2020 Paintings - Docked at Lake Guilford</image:title>
<image:caption>I painted most of this 14 x 18 oil painting on location last fall, and finally picked it back up to add the final touches a few weeks ago. This was my view as I painted in the back yard of our good friend's Brad & Sue's lake home. We've enjoyed kayaking, boating and dining on beautiful Lake Guilford will many friends and family over the years. The news tells us life will never go back to the way it was before the coronavirus pandemic. I pray they're wrong. <image:title>2020 Paintings - Baltimore Oriole Yakker</image:title>
<image:caption>I named this water color painting "The Baltimore Oriole Yakker” because of it's unique loud whistle that drew me to see it for the first time this past May at my hummingbird feeder. I thought it was fitting that "Yakker" also means curveball or slider in baseball terminology. In 1979, The Oriole Bird hatched out of a giant egg at Memorial Stadium and became the official mascot of the Baltimore Orioles. <image:title>2020 Paintings - Sandcastle Stompin Sea Gull”</image:title>
<image:caption>I referred to lots of photos I shot of this seagull while on Hilton Head Beach a few years ago. I wondered whether this seagull felt a sense of accomplishment standing proud after wrecking this sandcastle? I wonder how many others he may have stomped on? Either way, his accomplishment is permanently preserved in this water color painting. If interested in ordering a print, tote, or other specialty item click: BethBasista.pixels.com</image:caption>

<image:title>2020 Paintings - Mystic River</image:title>
<image:caption>This oil painting on a frameless canvas started out as a day scene. But after laying in the darks, I punched up the hi-lights and turned it into a night scene with striking contrast. Upon completion, I posted it on Facebook and asked my friends to help name it. After reviewing over a hundred awesome choices, I chose “Mystic River” submitted by Ryan Marlin. Special thanks to all who submitted names!</image:caption>

<image:caption>For this painting, I went back to the location a week later and painted it in plein air. Loved how more of the trees displayed their fall colors for me. I learned so much about the advantages of painting in plein air by painting these three paintings. Look how much closer the bridge looks compared the the ones I painted from my photos that threw the bridge far into the distance. If I would have zoomed in on the bridge, I would have lost my foreground. All three tied as being the favorite on my personal facebook page which really surprised me too. My favorite of the three, I am displaying this one in my home for now but have beautiful prints of it for sale - email: beth@bethbasistapaintings.com</image:caption>

Teddy knew he "hit the jackpot" having Lori as his Mommy and enjoyed a long life in his beautiful Colorado home complete with a doggie spa he shared with his siblings! I know you're going to cry Lori, but I hope this painting of Teddy will turn tears into permanently treasured memories. <image:caption>“Brake” at the Beach on Captiva Island - Before Hurricane Ian I am so sad recalling bike riding Sanibel-Captiva Road and stopping to capture pictures of the beautiful paths, like this one, leading to the beach. On Sept. 23, 2022 Hurricane Ian's 150mph wind gusts and a 12ft storm surge decimated the barrier islands in Lee County, FL. including both Captiva and Sanibel Islands. At the time of this writing, countless workers and volunteers continue to pick up mountains of debris while others are rebuilding the infrastructure. I can only imagine how long it will take to rebuild the paradise they once was. Praying for lives lost and the thousands of residents and businesses whose insurance coverage may not be enough to cover the tear down and rebuild. This watercolor painting along with others I've painted of scenes and wildlife in this area preserve memories of what once was & what will be back again.... #sanibelstrong, #florida, #Ian, #beachpainting, #bethbasistapaintings, #captivaisland, #HurricaneIan, #bikelife</image:caption>

When I saw the little gold sticker next to my painting I thought that was the prize until I saw the amount of the cash award listed in the program…. All I can say is “Holy Cow”!!! And thank you YWCA for this opportunity! So happy my 3 submissions to the 40th Annual YWCA Women’s Art show were accepted. <image:caption>The Pioneer Pavilion –11x14 Watercolor by Beth Basista I painted most of this watercolor painting of The Pioneer Pavilion en plein air (on location) a few days ago in Mill Creek Park and finished it today. One of the oldest structures in Youngstown, in 1821 The Pioneer Pavilion was beautifully constructed from hand cut sandstone and was a mill for carding and fulling wool. In the 1830s it was converted to a storage facility for the nearby Mill Creek Furnace and later served as a cattle barn. In 1893 Volney Rogers purchased the property to expand Mill Creek Park and turned it into a dining and dancing facility, naming it Pioneer Pavilion. Since then area residents continue to enjoy social events in this historic landmark. I never saw it documented anywhere but if you go through the cave-like addition at left, look for a carving of a child's face. I was told it was created by one of the stonemasons in the image of his son. <image:caption>Christmas at Lanterman’s Mill - Acrylics I'd love your opinion. Please vote: 1. Keep as is with only the wreaths in color 2. Add more color overall 3. Your suggestion: I typically paint in vivid contrasting colors - but for this snow scene I decided to paint in the values before adding in the color. While working on it a few people told me they like it the way it is but others said they prefer to see me add more color. So I decided it put it to a vote to see which way wins. <image:caption>HOLY COW - 9 x 12 Oil Painting I've loved cows since childhood when I had the privilege of seeing them up close at a family friend's diary farm. I also look for them each Labor Day weekend at the Canfield Fair. I like learning fun facts about them. I thinks its funny some people don't realize all cows are female. Cows have their own stall and will "moooooo" others out who try to take it over. I am amazed I can walk up close to them to take their photo without worrying they'll attack me. Don't try it though - in case they were letting me close so I could paint their portrait! lol I just love their facial expressions and I enjoyed using larger brush strokes and bright colors to permanently capture the beauty of this cow on canvas! #oilpaintingartist #farmanimalart #impressionismart #Ohio #cow #americanimpressionistsociety #bethbasistapaintings #animallover</image:caption>

<image:caption>I invited my artist friends from The Mahoning Valley Watercolor Society to paint at Mill Creek Park’s Wetlands on a beautiful day in May. The yellow iris and forget-me-nots were blooming along the shorelines throughout the wetlands. We painted along the beautifully renovated West Newport Trail that connects the wetlands to Newport Falls. We were entertained by birds singing, ducks quacking and a deer walking through the water stopping to stare two different times. <image:caption>This painting has been accepted in the 42nd YWCA Women’s Celebration show. I painted “The Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Spring” in watercolors with a blanket on my lap to keep me warm on a crisp, sunny day in Mill Creek Metro Parks, Youngstown, Ohio. For detailed subjects like this one, I like to spend extra time sketching my composition which actually saves time painting. This painting is a great example for why it’s an advantage to paint “en plein air”. I was able to see a variety of colors wherever I focused my attention instead of relying on a photo that averages the colors. Plus, I was able to use my artistic license to eliminate a tree at right that would have covered part of the sky and gift shop and instead, I painted what I saw behind it. I added a few finishing touch. #womenartists, #DavisCenter, # Mill Creek MetroParks #youngstownywca,</image:caption>

<image:caption>Who wants to go kayaking? I enjoyed a memorable kayak trip out of Matlacha, Florida a few years ago. We rented a tandom kayak and paddled around many mangrove islands, but as we crossed a wide waterway we started to have a problem matching our strokes. To fix the problem we started singing a made up silly song that mimicked the military march singing 1-2 3-4. Probably curious to see who’s making all that racket, we we’re so excited when dolphin swim up to us and swam along for a bit. I took lots of paint-worthy photos including the one I referred to to paint this scene. #kayaking, #Matlacha, #watercolors, #paintingpalmtrees, #floridapainting,</image:caption>

<image:caption>Enjoying Many Years of Mill Creek Park with Jeannie Lou Zitillo commissioned this painting I created using oils and a splash of glitter I added to enhance the Silver Bridge. I referred to Lou’s photos taken back in the 60’s to paint the couple and their dog and referred to my “Stairway to Heaven” painting to create the background. Those who have seen it love how the Silver Bridge sparkles as the light changes while drawing them in closer. Lou explained the reason he chose this scene was to commemorate his 50 year wedding anniversary. He and his wife Jeannie have enjoyed many days in Mill Creek Park together creating “nothing but fond memories.” Happy 50th Anniversary Lou & Jeannie - May God Bless You!</image:caption>

I referred to a painting I shot while taking the Trolly ride through Mill Creek Park a couple years ago with my niece and two nephews. We stopped so that everyone on board could take photos of a deer that was so nice to pose for us along side the road. This original painting will be on display throughout the month of September and available for sale in my show at The Weller Gallery in Fellows Riverside Gardens. #millcreekpark #deer #paintingofdeer #BethBasista #wildlifepainting #wellergallery #impressionism #landscapepainting #rosemarybrushes #animalportrait #artcollecting #artist</image:caption>

<image:caption>I asked Robert Coggeshall (an excellent local landscape & animal photographer if I could paint one of his beautiful photos of the wood ducks he posted on facebook. Thankfully he said yes and so I painted this duck on yupo paper and added some glitter to its forehead to give it the shimmer we see in real life. The wood duck is definitely my favorite duck and although I don’t see them often, sometimes I do come across them while hiking in Mill Creek Park.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This is an oil painting I painted over an acrylic painting I painted while back in college. While decluttering our attic, my husband brought it down to me and suggested I repurpose the frame that was still in good shape. I considered throwing away the painting inside it but since I liked the composition, I decided to make some updates and corrections I felt could make it much better. I gave it my semi-impressionistic style, added reflections in the water including reflecting the colors in the sky into it too. <image:caption>I painted this 11 x 14 painting using watercolors on a beautiful summer day in August. My illustrator background explains my tendency to choose detailed scenes like this one to paint. I spent the first hour sketching before painting over the next 4 hours before packing it up for the day and adding the finishing touches a few days later in my studio. While painting this scene at Lake Newport, Brandon and Noah arrived and gave me permission to add them into my pastel painting. Noah was so excited, and very lucky I might add, to have a Dad who takes him fishing. Next I painted the beach scene on a canvas board and then secured and glued it into a frame to make sure the epoxy coating wouldn’t seep along the edges. Then I glued the shells and sea oats into position and topped it off with epoxy. <image:caption>Painted en plein air in Yellow Creek Park, this piece captures the peaceful moment of a lone goose gliding across the water, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the woodland stream. The dappled greens of the trees reflect softly on the rippling surface, while fallen branches and tangled roots frame the scene with a sense of wild, natural stillness. <image:caption>"Technicolor Green Heron" is a mixed media painting Beth Basista created using watercolors, acrylics, and oils. I added a protective gloss coat adding texture and daring the viewer to touch the pallet knife strokes. Despite its name, the Green Heron displays more vivid blues, purples, and reds than green. In this pose, its iridescent green back feathers are hidden. I think it should have been named "The Little Blue Heron" or maybe "The Technicolor Heron" as I named this painting to make it easier to identify. Special thanks to professional photographer Roy L. <image:title>2025-2026 Paintings - Just Whistle</image:title>
<image:caption>In “Just Whistle,” I wanted to capture a quiet moment at an old country gas station—the kind of place where time seems to slow down. Using my semi-impressionistic style, I focused on the warm afternoon light, the weathered boards, and the vintage signs, especially the old Whistle advertisement that inspired the title. I painted the man on the porch resting in the shade to create a feeling of calm and simplicity. The loose brushwork, textured strokes, and vibrant colors let me bring the rustic station to life while keeping the scene relaxed and a little nostalgic. <image:caption>My newest watercolor painting captures one of the Florida Gulf Coast sunsets. Although I refer to my photos I used my memory to pint the spectacular colors the camera couldn’t capture. I love how people clap after the sun sinks below the horizon and can’t help but praise God for His amazing glory. I began with the horizon, layering the sky upward before returning to paint the water and then the trees, sand, and the silhouettes. <image:title>2025-2026 Paintings - Two Cups of Flower</image:title>
<image:caption>“Two Cups of Flower” is my newest watercolor painting, inspired by a photo I took a couple of years ago at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek MetroParks. I enjoyed painting the textured details of the tulips allowing them to stand out, and blurring the background elements to push them back. Sometimes, coming up with a creative name can be a challenge—so I toss it over to my friend Steve Tepsick, who has a real gift for wordplay. Once again, he came through with a title that made me laugh and fits the painting perfectly. Two Cups of Flower adds just the right dash of whimsy to this joyful spring scene. #twocupsofflower #bethbasistapaintings #watercolorflowerspainting #millcreekpark #fellowsriversidegardens</image:caption>

<image:title>2025-2026 Paintings - Quiet Among Trees</image:title>
<image:caption>I painted this scene mostly from memory, inspired by the countless times I’ve hiked along the gorge trail in Mill Creek Park. The path winds between Lanterman’s Mill and the iconic Suspension Bridge, which is nestled softly in the distance here. The still water reflects the glowing trees above, capturing the golden light and trees that offer a variety of colors. The interplay of color and reflection invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and experience the same quiet peace I’ve always felt in this special place. I laid down acrylics and used oils to soften the colors in the background while create a sense of movement in the water and calm in the forest canopy—a reminder of nature’s timeless beauty and the tranquility it offers when we take time to notice.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I painted “Behind the Lanterman’s Mill” en plein air in my semi-impressionistic style, trying to capture the peaceful view many enjoy from the Covered Bridge. The shimmering reflections in the water lead the eye toward the hidden falls just below. I’ve painted the front Lanterman’s Mill in Mill Creek Park every season, but this new angle feels extra special. Those who’ve been here know they are viewing the back side of a small waterfall that leads to the larger Lanterman’s Falls. — a secret view for those who know where to look. #BehindTheLantermansMill #LantermansMill #MillCreekPark #EnPleinAirPainting #SemiImpressionism #OilPainting #BethBasistaPaintings #OhioArtist #NatureInspiredArt</image:caption>

<image:caption>I painted this a second time on a 24x30 frameless canvas using both watercolors and acrylics due to the first one selling so quickly and I needed one for my dining room. This brown pelican appears to be on a mission to attract a mate, proudly displaying its golden crown of feathers. I loved working with vibrant yellows and oranges, which contrast beautifully against the dark mask around its keen, watchful eye, enhancing its majestic presence. The reflection’s colors swirl and shift, creating a mesmerizing effect that draws the viewer’s eye to zig and zag through the painting, adding a dynamic energy to the stillness of the moment. Special thanks to Tim Comeaux for granting me permission to use his stunning photograph as a reference for this painting. <image:title>2025-2026 Paintings - Renewed in Techni-Color</image:title>
<image:caption>Butterflies have always held a special place in my heart — so much so, I included it in my logo for my former advertising business, Techni-Graphics. Painting this beauty in watercolors on yupo paper brought challenges, but I knew would allow for the brilliant colors I was after for this painting. The butterfly’s symbolism of rebirth felt like the perfect match for this vivid piece… and for my own creative journey. Here’s to taking flight again — in full color. #ButterflyArt, #ButterflyPainting, #NatureArt, #WatercolorArt, #BethBasista.pixels.com#ArtCollectors, #OriginalWatercolor, #TransformationArt, #SymbolicArt, #SpringVibes, #PaintingOfTheDay</image:caption>

<image:title>2025-2026 Paintings - A Turtle’s Journey</image:title>
<image:caption>"A Turtle's Journey". Talk about an incredible journey–Did you know turtles have been on earth since before the dinosaurs and use the planet’s magnetic fields to find their way back to where they were hatched? Originally, I planned to enhance this painting using metallic paint, but as I worked, the colors came alive in a way that I felt it didn't need enhanced. Using acrylics I enjoyed the challenge of capturing the beauty and timeless spirit of this magnificent traveler. #seaturtle, #turtlepainting, #bethbasista, #turtle, #art, #impressionism</image:caption>

<image:title>2025-2026 Paintings - Royal Tern on Watch Duty</image:title>
<image:caption>I enjoyed capturing the details of one of my favorite shorebirds. The Royal Tern embodies its regal name with a striking tangerine-colored bill and a distinctive, ragged, ink-black crest set against pristine white plumage. These majestic birds patrol coastlines with graceful, slow flights, diving to snatch small fish with the precision of their daggerlike bills. Their vigilant presence and exquisite beauty are truly a sight to see. #birdpainting #royalterns #oceanpaintings #birdloversofinstagram #bethbasista.pixels.com</image:caption>

<image:caption>Painted en plein air on a beautiful spring day using soft watercolor washes and vibrant details. The iconic clock tower stands proudly at its center, an enduring symbol of this small town where time slows down and community spirit stays strong. I hope this painting I created in my impressionistic realism style captures the essence of “The City with a Small-Town Heart”. Visitors and passersby can't help but feel the nostalgic charm of Village of Columbiana with its timeless architecture that makes you pause, reflect and feel at home. #BethBasistaPaintings #WatercolorArt #PleinAirPainting #ArtCollectors #SmallTownCharm #ColumbianaOhio #CityWithASmallTownHeart #NostalgicScenes</image:caption>

<image:caption>Beth Basista choose to use watercolors to paint this pelican on a 24x30 frameless canvas. I want to thank professional photographer Tim Comeux for providing the beautiful reference photo that captures the serene, reflective mood of the pelican as it floats on the water, seemingly lost in thought. The illustrator in me couldn't help but paint in the detailed and vibrant plumage and the pelican's reflection shimmering beneath. The background features calming shades of blue, enhancing the peaceful atmosphere it adds to any room it's displayed in. #pelicanpainting, #pelican, #bethbasista, #watercolorpaintings, #shorebirds, #birdpainting, #bethbasista.pixels.com</image:caption>
